Transformers Movie

No spoilers here so groupmates who haven't watched the movie yet can read my insight.

I don't think the director/writer considered that the old transformers targeted young audiences. The generation that saw it before saw a series that fits their age. Now, the transformers movie we grew up to see seemed to have evolved into something very different, something that when shown to the same age bracket as before, will also be an instrument to bring poison into the young audiences' minds.

By doing so, it gradually makes us loose our sensitivity to things that are sinful or those that are not. I understand that movie has to have violence just like the tv show because of the nature of the story, but now, the writer/director/producer added things that the movie should have
done without. They injected lustful, and sexual and immoral scenes, and vulgar words. Things that young people should stay away from.

The movie could have the same excitement without the flaws I have mentioned above. Perhaps, the sinful elements were added because of the producers thought that it will attract more audiences, spice up the film. Did it? Didn't the movie just move transformers to a category that is not fit for large number of audience that it has enjoyed it before.

What makes it more dangerous, the fans' curiosity will even make it harder for us not to see the movie. Who wouldn't want to watch a movie that features the robots and story we have loved, and followed.

There were already some clues in the first movie in how Michael Bay creates his own flavor of Transformers, having seducing shots, also mentioning sexual things that are not for the very young audiences. And now, Revenge of the Fallen has gone notches further to that direction. It now really makes sense to me that the USCCB's movie site review classified the movie for limited adult audiences only.

I would suggest not to let the kids see the movie or have the parents least see the movie first and judge if they can let the kids see it. My best recommendation is to wait for the dvd, edit its contents if possible cutting unnecessary and dangerous elements before showing it to the kids.

But as it has been happening, a lot of people will not notice it while they continue to be a corrupted by the movie. Or we just take what the movie brings because of the hope that overall, it is going to be a good one. It is as if that to enjoy the movie, we have to immerse ourselves to such scenes, words and temptations. It sure is a fulfillment of what is written in the book of Revelations that no one will be able to trade without having the mark of the beast or the number of the beast's name Rev 13:17. In the movie industries' case, it is becoming more difficult to find entertaining movies and shows without letting ourselves be in contact with carelessly crafted soul corrupting films. We, the movie goers are also to blame when we patronize such movies and let ourselves buy into this kind of movies.

This is a shout-out to Mel, may he again create movies that is really worth watching.
